Helpful Links
I’ve been getting some questions from my friends about where to look for some of the information which I have been using in papers and arguments. Below, you’ll find some of the more common places for my state level research and hopefully you’ll find them useful for yourself as well.
Michigan House of Representatives: Use for district maps, caucus news, representative information and other basic needs
Michigan Senate: Use for district maps, caucus news, senator information and other basic needs
State of Michigan: The portal to all State agencies and news
Michigan Secretary of State – Elections Section: Voting information, election results, laws and rules, and everything related to elections in MI.
MichiganVotes.org: A free service that tracks all legislative bills, summaries, and votes. Maintained by the Mackinac Center (a right-wing think tank based in Midland), but still a very solid source of legislative information.
